UTHSC-H VPN Access Information

UT-Health VPN

A Virtual Private Networking (VPN) enables staff, students and faculty to securely connect to the UTHSC-H network from home and other remote locations. Without the security of VPN, the information you type or send could be intercepted on the "open highway" of the Internet. VPN encrypts the data before it is sent across the Internet.

Our Current VPN Client Supports Mobile Devices such as iPhones, iPads, Android phones and more; see below a more comprehensive list of supported platforms:

- Windows Operating Systems from Windows XP up to Windows 8.0
- MAC Operating System up to MAC OS 10.7
- Several distributions of the Linux Operating System
- Most Android phones running 2.3.5 and higher
- IOS, this is the operating system used by iPhones and iPads.
